This stunning basket was made in New York in the 1920s by Alfred Wagner and Sons ( later J Wagner). It is quite large for a bride’s basket. The basket diameter is 9” wide. The height is just over 8”. It weighs 305 grams and is marked sterling. It has scalloped wavy rim and a stationary handle. The rim has a pierced pattern. Condition is excellent. Traditionally bride’s baskets were used for the flower girl at the wedding and then the bride could use it as a centerpiece, serving bowl or decorative item for her home. The item will arrive polished and carefully packaged. We ship with insurance.
